A full exterior and interior showcase for DNA Builders, completed in collaboration with the project designer to present a showhome built to be inspected in every detail by architects, agents, builders and designers.

The Project
A showhome is finished to be looked at closely. Every junction, ceiling line and cladding detail had to hold up under the eye of architects, agents and designers walking through, which meant the preparation and finish standard had to be consistent across mixed surfaces and techniques.

The Brief
DNA Showrooms engaged us to deliver the complete exterior and interior painting package for their Halswell showhome in Meadowlands. We worked alongside the project designer to align finishes, colours and techniques with the intended look and feel of the space.
On the exterior, timber cladding was oiled rather than painted to preserve the natural grain, with soffits finished cleanly overhead. Inside, the package included wallpaper, feature walls, feature ceilings and a full black ceiling, with a complete interior paint throughout.
The black ceilings required a spray finish to achieve the highest quality result, with every surface prepared to a standard that holds up under close inspection. As a show home, the finished work was walked through by architects, real estate agents, builders and designers, each looking closely at the detail.
Craftsmanship
The quality of a commercial finish is often measured in the details people barely notice.
Clean cut lines, consistent surfaces and careful work around architectural detailing are what separate a finish that lasts from one that simply looks done. Preparation is where that difference is made, before a single topcoat goes on.
The Result
A showhome that reads as sharp and intentional from every angle, with oiled timber cladding, clean soffits, feature ceilings and a flawless black ceiling that sets the tone for the rest of the interior.
