The Brief
Hierarchy engaged us to fully renovate and repaint the interior of their Christchurch offices. As a project management and building company, their own office had to look incredibly sharp, with every detail critical to the impression the space makes on clients and staff.
The scope included Level 4.5 plastering for a flawless surface, spray painting all the ceilings along with every ducting run, and spraying all the fitout joinery. Because paint was being applied to a range of different materials, we used four different primer types on this project, which is quite unusual: aluminium etch primer, metal primer, plastic primer, and a special paint to achieve a perfect spray finish.
The office staff were moving into the building while the work was being completed, so keeping the site clean and organised throughout was essential. Fitting new doors meant walls had to be cut back, plastered and painted on a short timeframe. The GCP team worked extra shifts and long hours to get the job done on time and to the standard the space demanded.
